Align my soul to my body and my life – and let me dissolve into the Nirvana away from the carnal bliss.

Bokeh again

Bokeh by definition itself is too photographically technical term. A vivid color shot based on experiments.

One for the beloved

The special someone, one for the beloved – the moments of rites and rituals. You just cant get away without it.
It comes from ur inner self to raise faith and worship any rituals. A very delightful spotting of a so common marigold flower at the edge of a ritual site.

Green Carpet

A wallpaper capture (no edit), spread green grass was a perfect carpet for a off center weighted spot metering and center focus and to evaluate if we could see a visually attractive wonderland naturistic landscape.

Textured Bats

While visiting Kashmir any tourist would be excited to visit the world famous Kashmir Willow Indian Cricket Bats. We were also surprised to see the mass manufacturing of Cricket bats at these local Kashmiri factories. This is one of the major occupations of Kashmiris. Since the tourism has taken a hit due to terrorism at Kashmir, very few local vendors are able to export their manufactured units. Even though I am not a big fan of Cricket, I some how managed taking interest to know the minutes of how a cricket bat is created, and believe me the process undertaken to create the world class hand made cricket bats was simply exciting.

While I was sitting there

Going down the memory lanes of my ancestral place at Gujarat, while I was sitting there – near a road side shop owned by my ancestral cousins – who run a local kirana store – I found the vibrations of being teleport’ed into the era of 1940′s while my great grand fathers were born and brought up in those lanes. And my great grand parents running those shops during the British times. Felt really nostalgic about a fantasy story line visualizing my self in some reincarnation at that age.

The window where she sat

That dreamy day and that memorable wait, all those unfolding memories of the girl who used to wait at this window. While the lover boy pondered of his lovely dame’s memories he visually dreamt of her sitting at this window.

Cloud Gate at Millennium Park

A marvellous piece of artwork, Cloud Gate – referred to by locals as “The Bean”, for obvious reasons – it is a public sculpture by talented British artist Anish Kapoor. This place at the Millennium Park was an exciting spot for shutterbugs. The monument was chosen from 30 different artists. Also this was scheduled to go public during 2004 – but somehow the launch got delayed and this entire thing is made of pure steel plates and polished to maintain the shine. Entire surface is glossy and shines like a mercury droplet fallen from the sky. The maintenance of this architecture is huge and the concave structure at the bottom center is called the navel. You can see 1000s of people clicking photographs each day. This is been recognized locally and globally both. An amazing piece of artwork.

Stars in the Night

While at Chicago – when we walked towards the Lake Shore Drive, there was a long stretch of urban trail and all I could imagine was to capture the glitter on the glamorous roadway paved for urban movement. The magic was to experiment a long shutter photograph and capture a trail of lights. I really was excited to capture this entire series without a tripod. Some how managed to do this by keeping my camera on the footpath at the edge of the road.
